Tour Plan
In the morning, we will meet you in the hotel lobby to pick you up. Then, a guide will take you to see the Saladin Citadel, walk along El Moez Street, and visit the busy Khan El Khalili Bazaar where you can look at many shops and things for sale.
In Cairo, you can also visit a special street; El Moez Street. It was built a very long time ago, in the year 969, and it has many old buildings and mosques from different times in Egypt’s history. These buildings show how rich and beautiful the Islamic civilization was. You can also explore Egypt’s oldest market, where you can see and buy all sorts of interesting things.
A long time ago, in the 1100s, a famous Egyptian king named Sultan Salah Al-Din built a big wall called a fortress to protect Cairo from enemies. Later, in the 1800s, a man named Mohamed Ali wanted to build a beautiful mosque made of white stone called alabaster. He started building it in 1830, but he didn’t finish before he passed away in 1849.
The old Khan El Khalili Bazaar has been around for over 600 years. Even after all this time, it still looks the way it did many years ago, with big, old buildings from when the Mamluks lived there. The Mamluks were soldiers brought by Sultan Saladin to help build his army. This neighborhood is very old and famous in Cairo. Many visitors come to see it because it has a lovely and special feeling.
Then back you to your hotel.
