After breakfast, begin your great honeymoon adventure by exploring one of the world’s most iconic and unique archaeological landscapes at the Giza Plateau.

Your visit includes the enchanting Great Pyramid of Khufu, the largest and most famous pyramid ever built in ancient Egypt. Nearby stands the mysterious and giant Great Sphinx of Giza, carved from a single huge block of limestone and believed to represent powerful Pharaoh Khafre. The Sphinx has a human head and a lion’s body symbolised royal power and great divine protection.

You will continue your journey to the famous Memphis, founded around 3100 BC by the well-known King Menes after he unified Upper and Lower Egypt. Memphis served as Egypt’s main political and religious capital for centuries and was dedicated to the powerful creator god Ptah. Here you will see the beautiful, colossal limestone statue of Ramses II and the great alabaster sphinx. You will enjoy some of the most delicious dishes at a beautiful local restaurant.

Next, explore the massive necropolis of Saqqara, which is the main home to Egypt’s earliest pyramid complex. The highlight is the enchanting Step Pyramid of Djoser, designed by the brilliant and genius architect Imhotep. This structure marks the first and most famous large-scale stone construction in human history and represents the architectural transition from the old mastaba tombs to true pyramids.

After this exploration tour, you will be transferred back to your hotel.

After a yummy breakfast, begin your day with a visit to the wonderful Grand Egyptian Museum, the largest archaeological museum in the world dedicated to a single great civilisation. This impressive museum houses thousands of priceless artefacts from ancient Egypt, including the famous treasures of Tutankhamun, displayed together for the first time in history.

Continue to the medieval and great fortress known as the Great Citadel of Salah El-Din, built in the 12th century by the famous and genius Muslim leader Salah El-Din to protect Cairo from the strong Crusader invasions. The citadel later became the main seat of government for long centuries.

You will visit the breathtaking Mosque of Muhammad Ali. Its special grand Ottoman-style architecture, towering and impressive minarets, and alabaster walls have made it one of Cairo’s most famous landmarks. We will take you to a nearby local restaurant to have a yummy lunch.

This amazing tour continues to the historic district of the holy Coptic Cairo, which is one of the oldest Christian areas in Egypt. Here you will visit the spectacular Hanging Church, named for its special construction above the famous Roman gatehouse of the Babylon Fortress.

You will also visit the glamorous Saints Sergius and Bacchus Church, which is commonly known as the amazing Abu Serga Church. The famous tradition holds that the Holy Family took a safe refuge in a cave beneath this church during their journey in Egypt.

Nearby stands the historic and beautiful Ben Ezra Synagogue, which was once one of the most important Jewish sites in Egypt. According to tradition, it is believed to stand near the location where the famous baby Moses was found in the Nile.

After a hearty breakfast, travel north to the beautiful city of Alexandria. You will meet your expert tour guide to visit the first stop, the historic Citadel of Qaitbay, which was built by the famous Sultan Qaitbay on the exact site of the amazing Lighthouse of Alexandria.

Continue to the impressive Pompey’s Pillar, which is a vast red granite column standing nearly 27 meters high. Despite its name, the monument was actually erected in honour of the great Roman Emperor Diocletian in the late 3rd century AD.

You will explore the enchanting underground burial complex of the famous Catacombs of Kom El Shoqafa, which is a legendary blend of Egyptian, Greek, and Roman artistic traditions. The unique catacombs feature spiral and fascinating staircases, burial chambers, and reliefs reflecting Alexandria’s multicultural society.

Finally, visit the modern and dazzling architectural masterpiece known as the spectacular Bibliotheca Alexandrina, which was built near the original location of the ancient Library of Alexandria.

You will have the most delicious seafood lunch while enjoying the beautiful views of the sea. We will transfer you back to your hotel in Cairo.
