Tour Plan

Starting your visit to Memphis, the earliest founded capital in Egypt’s and humanity’s history, our Egyptologist guide will meet you in the hotel lobby in Cairo or Giza. Memphis is situated on a wide plain where Upper and Lower Egypt converge. It is 25 kilometers south of central Cairo from Ras Delta and 35 kilometers south of central Cairo on the west bank of the Nile.

After traveling through the old kingdom (the period of the pyramids) and the middle kingdom, you will start by driving to the region where the ancient city of Memphis once stood as an administrative hub to govern the vast kingdom of upper and lower Egypt from the pre-dynastic period.

You may view magnificent statues and ancient relics by entering the massive outdoor museum. The alabaster sphinx, which is the second largest sphinx in Egypt, and the statues of King Ramses II are two of the most striking examples.

Proceed with your tour to the location where you can view the enormous statue of Ramses II with his shattered legs. It was cleverly constructed to demonstrate the power and splendor of art at the time, competing with the latest laser cutters. Discover how the ancient Egyptians made the first writing paper sheets in history using papyrus plant reeds at one of the papyri-authorized institutes. You’ll have a great time.

When your fantastic day in Memphis from Cairo is over, return to your hotel.
