Tour Plan

Tour to the East Bank of Luxor

Your professional Egyptologist guide will greet you at your hotel in Luxor in the early morning. You’ll be transferred in an air-conditioned vehicle to your first stop: the largest temple complex in the world – The Karnak Temple. This Temple is dedicated primarily to the great god Amun-Ra, Karnak is a huge open-air museum of ancient religious architecture. Its construction spanned more than 2,000 years, involving numerous and powerful pharaohs.

You will see the Avenue of Sphinxes, which is an impressive ceremonial walkway once connecting Karnak to the famous Luxor Temple. The human-headed sphinxes symbolize divine and great protection and royal power. You will also see the Great Hypostyle Hall, whic is a forest of 134 huge colossal columns, one of ancient Egypt’s greatest engineering achievements. You will be impressed by the Sacred Lake, which was used by priests for purification rituals, the lake remains a serene reminder of ancient practice.

Next, you’ll head to the wonderful Luxor Temple, located along the Nile and celebrated for its role in the great Opet Festival—where the living king and the god Amun were symbolically united. Luxor Temple served as a temple of rebirth for the powerful king. This old-standing temple was built by Amenhotep III and expanded by the famous Ramses II, the temple’s architectural harmony reflects the sacred union of humanity and the divine—the symbolic “fifth point” at the huge center of the four cardinal directions.

Your tour ends with a relaxing and fast drive back to your hotel, carrying memories of ancient grandeur and timeless beauty.
