Your guide will pick you up from your hotel in Hurghada in the early morning, and you will travel in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle to the famous city of Luxor. This journey takes about 3.5 to 4 hours. You will start your tour by visiting the massive complex of Karnak Temple, which was dedicated to the famous god Amun-Ra. This is one of the largest temple complexes in the world. It took over 2,000 years to complete and is a masterpiece of ancient Egyptian architecture. Then you will visit Luxor Temple, dedicated to the rejuvenation of powerful kingship, which is one of Egypt’s most beautifully and well-preserved temples. Enjoy a traditional, delicious Egyptian lunch at a local restaurant before moving to the West Bank of Luxor.
You will be amazed by visiting the Valley of the Kings, which is one of the most famous and impressive archaeological sites in the world. This valley contains the most beautiful tombs of pharaohs and nobles from the New Kingdom, including the famous tomb of the great Tutankhamun. You will also visit the Iconic Temple of Hatshepsut, carved into the cliffs of Deir el-Bahari. This temple is one of Egypt’s most beautiful temples in the West Bank of Luxor. It was dedicated to the charming and powerful Queen Hatshepsut, one of the few female pharaohs in ancient Egypt.
You will see the Colossi of Memnon, which are two enormous and famous statues that once flanked the entrance to the temple of Amenhotep III. Standing 18 meters tall, they are among the most recognisable and impressive monuments in Luxor.
